The words Customer, Hirer or You refer to the person named on the original order with who by acceptance of terms and conditions and by submitting an electronic order to purchase goods has entered into a binding contract.
By continuing to browse our website, purchase our goods or request our services, you agree and accept these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions apply to all users.
General
Adventurous activities such as stand up Paddle boarding carry inherent associated dangers to all participants.
Stand up Paddle Boarding is an assumed risk activity.
Three Piers Watersports Ltd, its employees or suppliers cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury or death, however caused, through the sale or hire of its goods.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have the necessary skills, equipment and sufficient knowledge for the activity they have chosen to take part in.
We only provide equipment to be used under the skills and abilities of the hirer; we require no proof of ability and offer no advice or instruction in the use of the equipment and how they are to be used or location best suited to the hirer’s group.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure they are familiar with all the relevant safety practices and procedures, their equipment and the location where they will use it.
The hirer acknowledges that they are responsible for their own safety and that of their group when hiring equipment, which involves inherent risk.
You must take the necessary precautions to ensure your own safety and that of other group members at all times.
You agree to return the items on the stated day in the condition in which I received them. Any damaged equipment will be charged for at full retail price for replacement or repair if deemed appropriate, regardless of how the damage was caused.
Three Piers Watersports Ltd acts in good will when hiring out equipment and as such expects such from the hirer. We reserve the right to withdraw and collect our equipment at any point and for any reason during a hire period.
Booking, Deposits and Payment
Booking requests are made using the online booking form on the hire page.
We will endeavour to satisfy all equipment hire requests but we cannot guarantee the availability.
No bookings are secured and guaranteed without a payment in part or full at least 7 days prior to the hire period start date.
The hirer must be over 18 and a passport or similar photo id will be required to verify the hirer’s details.
The hirer must complete a paddle board hire agreement form and agree to all the terms and conditions and policies.
The hirer will be required to pay a security deposit which will be refunded upon inspection of the returned equipment.
Any damage to the hired equipment or if it requires additional cleaning above normal wear and tear, a charge will be made.
Hire fees are as listed on the website hire page and are subject to change without any notification.
Fee amounts will be honoured once a booking is confirmed.
Payment for hire and any security deposits are to be made by BACS, card or in cash prior to or at the start of the hire period.
Hire Period
The agreed hire period will be recorded on the paddle board hire agreement form
It may be possible to extend this hire period; the hire must contact us prior to the end of the hire period to request an extension.
We will endeavour to satisfy all extension requests but we cannot guarantee the availability.
We reserve the right to refuse.
We reserve the right to withdraw and collect our equipment at any point and for any reason during a hire period.
In the event we withdraw and collect our equipment, the customer will be reimbursed for any remaining days left within the hire period or will be issued immediately with replacement equipment of the same or similar type.
Collection and Returns
The customer will collect and return the equipment from/to us between the times specified, from our shop location.
The equipment will be ready for collection upon completion of a paddle board hire agreement form, agreement to all the terms and conditions and policies and payment of all monies is made.
All equipment will be cleaned and checked before the start of the hire period and the hirer will be required to check they are satisfied with the serviceable condition of the equipment.
The hire period will start from the dates on the paddle board booking form regardless of whether equipment has been collected or not.
Any equipment that is returned late will be subject to additional charges to cover the additional unauthorised hire period.
If the hired equipment requires additional cleaning above normal wear and tear, a charge will be made.
Security deposits will be refunded upon inspection of the returned equipment. Charges will be made for any damages above normal wear and tear.
Cancellation
We will endeavour to satisfy all equipment hire requests but we reserve the right to cancel the hire of equipment for any reasonable reason.
We will, where ever possible, offer similar replacement equipment, alternative dates or a full refund.
Customers may request a cancellation of hire booking but should do so at the earliest convenience to gain a full refund.
Where more than one board is being hired; Cancellation requests received within 48 hours of the start time of the hire period will be subject to a charge and only a part refund which will be of a reasonable amount to cover the losses from us not being able to hire out equipment due to the size of the booking.
Use and Care of Hire Equipment
The customer may not make any adjustments or alterations to any hire equipment other than what is normal for the use of the equipment and is within the possible range of adjustments for the particular equipment.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure they use the equipment only for its normal intended use, are familiar with all the relevant safety practices and procedures, and the location where they will use it.
All equipment will be cleaned and checked before the start of the hire period and it is required that it is no less clean upon return.
It is expected that the customer will use the equipment with a reasonable amount of care.
The customer shall not make or attempt to make any repairs to any of the hired equipment with prior consent from us.
In the event of damage please contact us.
We will determine whether we or the hirer can make any repairs.
We will determine whether we or the hirer is responsible for any costs due to the damage, depending on whether the damage was normal wear and tear or neglectful use by the hirer.
